William Maher, born on January 20, 1956 is an American comedian, television host and political commentator who is known for the HBO political talk show titled Real Time with Bill Maher (2003–present) and the late-night show titled Politically Incorrect, originally on Comedy Central, later on ABC. Maher is popular for his political satire, sarcastic attitude and sociopolitical commentary. He targets many topics such as religion, bureaucracy, politics, political correctness and the mass media. He supports same-sex marriage and legalization of cannabis.
