She was not interested in the role of Veronica as Camila felt they would be looking for white pin up girl. But after knowing that they were looking for a Latina for the role, she called her agent to get her in the audition.
When she got the chance to audition for her role in Riverdale, Camila was the last person they were going to see on the last day of the auditions. And, her agent told her about the auditions only a day before.
Before getting the debut role in Riverdale, Camila had auditioned unsuccessfully for many roles for a year. The problem was that she was not as Latina as the roles needed.
When she was 10 years old, Camila spent a year in Brazil with her parents.
She is fluent in Portuguese and English.
