Paddy is also known for his work with Peter Kay, whom Peddy knew from his school days at Mount St Joseph School located in Farnworth, and invited him to appear in his programmes called That Peter Kay ThingPhoenix Nights and Max and Paddy’s Road to Nowhere, which led to the start of a successful career on ITV and Channel 4.
